I ran into this article on NPR and immediately thought of Dan Pink’s Symphony aptitude.

Students are using new technology to create connections in a project-based, realistic environment.  This is something that obviously requires students to take a number of small details and assemble them into a bigger picture.  They are doing some pretty incredible things and are preparing themselves for the 21st Century.  It makes me think twice about how my projects are connected to the real world and if I am doing enough to let my students create their own unique connections.
